The ADMIN4.0 system allows you to create quality control camera functions and use them to check the correct execution of a task or the entire product. There is a range from basic inspection functions to learned neural network inspections and 3D scanning with deviation analysis. An inspection system set up in this way completely eliminates defects in the final product and, by linking with the visual guidance workstation, can automatically condition the inspection of individual work steps. Using position recognition functions, it is possible to determine the position of objects in the workspace and thus dynamically adjust the position of the inspection and visual guidance functions or use the position as coordinates for the robotic arm.

Presence and correctness check

Quality control is performed by analyzing the image using the following functions:

  • Colour analysis – checking for the presence of a colour spectrum, this function is used in the case of different coloured surfaces which allows the presence of components in a given location to be determined in a robust way.
  • Shape check – By recognizing the shape of objects and comparing it to a reference, it allows checking for the presence of the correct shape at the inspection site.
  • Barcode, QR and OCR – Recognition of numbers and text after engraving or printing on the product and reading barcodes and QR codes and checking or automatically categorizing them.
  • Change – Intelligent analysis to recognize change in the inspection region easily used to recognize only the presence of objects such as hand and tool or components.
  • Flags – The analytically learned shape search function in the image allows you to quickly and easily define the object of interest for inspection.

Inspection of quality and shapes

Detailed shape analysis can be used to determine the size, angle and relative distance to references, which allows precise evaluation of the correctness of the objects.

Neural networks for quality control

A modern and advanced form of image analysis using artificial intelligence. The creation of functionality takes the form of learning from real images focused on objects, components and parts and in this way can be learned and continuously refined. Over time, inspection thus becomes a robust function that recognizes object shapes as well as defects on objects with high accuracy, even under changing ambient or process conditions. It is this adaptability that elevates this type of inspection above classical image analysis methods.

Neural Networks for Quality Inspection

Defect detection on objects and surfaces is an essential part of a modern inspection workplace. Using the learned defects, the system can recognize material defects or surface and design defects.

Object position recognition

Object detection using CAD

An essential part of a vision system is the recognition of the position of objects in space and the automatic adaptation of the production technology to the new position, e.g. visual guidance, camera system, robotic arm and others…

The ability to recognize the position using CAD files, DXF curves and STL models. In this way it is possible to link technical drawings with the camera program.

Object detection using detection tags

A more robust method of position detection using detection marks suitable for dynamically changing positions of objects, tools and more.

3D control

Packaging and warehouse

Accuracy

Depending on the 3D camera used, the accuracy ranges from 5 to 50mm, allowing for both simple and complex custom solutions.

Checking pallets and packaging for completeness

The 3D camera is the ideal tool for checking the completeness of pallet packaging. It analyses each box and each layer with precision to ensure that the packing quantity is not exceeded.

Detection of objects and their position

3D analysis of the space and recognition of objects and their position in it allows you to check the correctness of the assembly or design of packages, products or assemblies.

Workplace monitoring

Monitoring of hands and handling in the space

Monitoring the operator in the work area allows you to control the activity and point out any improper handling, thus avoiding mistakes.

3D inspection

2D/3D scanning with profilometer

Scanning with a linear scanner

The most accurate form of surface scanning and analysis to thousandths of a millimetre. The static attachment of the scanning head with a moving object, whether on a linear stage or a robotic arm, allows you to create a highly accurate 3D model of the scanned object, or just to analyse deviations on a continuously scanned profile.

Profilometry

Primarily the most accurate way to analyze a surface is to scan the profile and apply measurement functions that evaluate the correct dimensions of the scanned object, or defects on the surface.

3D scanning and model reference

3D scanning in motion

By setting the scanned object or scanner head in motion, it is possible to create a precise 3D model and comprehensively analyse the shape and defects on the surface.

3D measurement

The analysis of a complex 3D model is suitable not only for local shape analysis but also for the overall measurement of the positions and dimensions of the entire scanned object.

Robotic scanning

By combining a linear or 3D scanner with the dynamics of a robotic arm, it is possible to scan complex objects by positioning the scanning device to the required positions.

Reference check with 3D model

The result of the 3D scan is a 3D model, which can then be compared with a reference 3D model to determine mutual deviations and thus analyze the accuracy or error of the design.
